India’s three most iconic cities, connected by one seamless private journey. In just four days, you’ll stand before the Taj Mahal at sunrise, explore the Mughal grandeur of Delhi’s old lanes, and lose yourself in the pink-walled bazaars of Jaipur. This is the trip most first-time visitors to India take — and the one they talk about for years afterward.
We handle everything: airport pickup, air-conditioned private car throughout, government-approved English-speaking guide in each city, and hotel drop-offs at every stop. You bring the curiosity; we bring the expertise.
Best time to travel: October to March, when the weather is cool and clear. Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays — we plan your itinerary around this automatically.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 — Arrive in Delhi · Akshardham Temple
Your driver will meet you at the airport or your Delhi hotel and get you settled before the sightseeing begins. The afternoon is reserved for Akshardham Temple — one of the largest Hindu temples in the world, with intricately carved stone facades that take most visitors completely by surprise. The scale and craftsmanship here set the tone for everything that follows on this tour. Evening at leisure; overnight in Delhi.
Tip: If you arrive in the morning, you’ll have time for a walk through Connaught Place or a quick stop at India Gate before heading to the temple.
Day 2 — Full-day Delhi sightseeing · Drive to Agra
A full morning in Delhi with your guide. You’ll drive past the grand ceremonial boulevard of Rajpath toward India Gate, then visit Humayun’s Tomb — a red sandstone mausoleum that directly inspired the design of the Taj Mahal. Next comes Qutub Minar, the world’s tallest brick minaret, followed by a drive through Old Delhi’s Chandni Chowk, where the narrow lanes are packed with spice markets, street food stalls, and over 400 years of history.
After lunch, you’ll head south on the Yamuna Expressway to Agra — a smooth 3-hour drive on one of India’s best highways. Evening arrival; overnight in Agra.
Monuments: Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple (optional), Old Delhi lanes
Day 3 — Sunrise Taj Mahal · Agra Fort · Drive to Jaipur
The day starts before dawn. Your guide will meet you at the hotel and take you to the Taj Mahal’s east gate as it opens, so you experience the monument in the soft golden light of early morning — before the crowds arrive. This is the moment most guests say was the highlight of their entire India trip.
After the Taj, you’ll walk to Agra Fort, a UNESCO-listed red sandstone fortress that served as the seat of the Mughal empire for over a century. From the fort’s ramparts, on a clear day, you can see the Taj Mahal in the distance — the view Shah Jahan himself is said to have gazed at from his prison chamber in his final years.
After lunch, your driver will take you on the scenic 4–5 hour road to Jaipur. Evening arrival; overnight in Jaipur.
Monuments: Taj Mahal, Agra Fort (Baby Taj available as optional add-on)
Day 4 — Full-day Jaipur · Return to Delhi
Jaipur earns its nickname. The old city’s buildings really are painted a warm terracotta-pink, a tradition started in 1876 to welcome the Prince of Wales. Your guide will take you to Amer Fort first — a stunning hilltop fortress where you can choose an elephant ride up the cobbled ramp (optional) — then on to Hawa Mahal (the Palace of Winds), Jantar Mantar observatory, and the ornate City Palace complex, still partially home to Jaipur’s royal family.
For the evening, consider a visit to Chokhi Dhani, an open-air Rajasthani village resort where you can watch folk dancers, try camel and bullock cart rides, and eat a traditional thali dinner under the stars (optional, charged separately).
Late evening drive back to Delhi — approximately 5 hours. Your driver will drop you at your hotel, the airport, or wherever you need.
Monuments: Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar

Is the Taj Mahal included on this tour?
Yes. We visit the Taj Mahal on the morning of Day 3 at sunrise. Entry fees are paid on arrival (approx. USD 13–15 for international visitors). Your guide will handle the skip-the-line access so you don’t queue.
Is this a private tour or a group tour?
Fully private. Your vehicle, guide, and itinerary belong to your group alone — no strangers, no fixed departure times.
What cities does the Golden Triangle cover?
Delhi (India’s capital), Agra (home of the Taj Mahal), and Jaipur (capital of Rajasthan). The three cities form a rough triangle on the map, hence the name.
Can I customise the itinerary?
Yes. If you’d like to add Fatehpur Sikri, a cooking class, or an extra day anywhere, just mention it in the booking notes and Ashish will arrange it.
