Agra Overnight Tour Sunset & Sunrise
The only way to see the Taj Mahal twice — glowing gold at sunset, then rising from the mist at dawn. Two days, one night, and a private guide who makes every moment matter.

Your Itinerary — 2 Days
Your private air-conditioned car collects you from your hotel, airport, or station. The journey to Agra on the Yamuna Expressway takes approximately 3 hours. Your driver will stop for refreshments at a highway rest stop en route.
Check in to your chosen hotel in central Agra. Freshen up and enjoy lunch at one of Agra’s well-regarded restaurants nearby — your guide will recommend the best options for Mughlai cuisine in the area.
Your afternoon begins at Agra Fort — Emperor Akbar’s great red sandstone citadel, built in 1565 across 94 acres. Your guide walks you through the Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, the Khas Mahal, and the Musamman Burj — the tower where Shah Jahan spent his final years imprisoned, gazing at the Taj Mahal across the river.
Directly across the Yamuna from the Taj Mahal stands Mehtab Bagh — the Moonlight Garden, originally laid out by Shah Jahan to view the Taj from the river’s northern bank. As the sun drops, the Taj turns from white to warm gold to deep amber in the water’s reflection. This is the view most visitors never find. Your guide knows exactly where to stand.
Enjoy dinner at a recommended restaurant in Agra. Overnight stay at your chosen hotel — 3-star, 4-star or 5-star options available. Breakfast included the following morning.
Early morning entry to the Taj Mahal — the most extraordinary version of an extraordinary monument. The marble shifts from grey to pale gold as the sun climbs. At this hour the gardens hold perhaps a hundred visitors rather than thousands. Your guide is there to reveal details, frame photographs, and make sure this visit is everything it should be.
Return to your hotel for a full breakfast — included in your tour package. A relaxed start to the morning after an early sunrise visit.
The prototype for the Taj Mahal itself — first Mughal structure in white marble, first to use pietra dura inlay. Built in the 1620s and remarkably intimate compared to the monuments you’ve already seen. This is a favourite of returning visitors and architecture enthusiasts alike.
Hotel check-out, then the drive back to Delhi on the Yamuna Expressway. Dropped at your hotel, airport, or preferred location in Delhi. End of tour.

What Travellers Say
“Seeing the Taj at sunset from Mehtab Bagh and then again at sunrise the next morning — those were two completely different experiences. Our guide was exceptional, the hotel was well-chosen, and the whole two days felt perfectly crafted. Cannot recommend this enough.”
“Ashish planned everything perfectly. The Taj Mahal at dawn with almost no one around was something I’ll remember forever. The hotel was lovely, the guide knew everything about Mughal history. Worth every penny.”
“The sunset view from Mehtab Bagh alone made the overnight stay worthwhile. Then the sunrise inside the Taj complex the next morning — genuinely one of the most moving experiences of my life. Perfect Agra Tours made it effortless.”
