Two kilometres from the Taj, Agra Fort’s massive red sandstone ramparts contain one of the most layered architectural stories in India. Built by Akbar in 1565, expanded by Jahangir and Shah Jahan — your guide walks you through the Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, the Khas Mahal, and the Musamman Burj, the octagonal riverside tower where an imprisoned Shah Jahan spent his final years gazing at the Taj Mahal he could no longer visit.
The Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah — built by Empress Nur Jahan for her father in the 1620s — was the first Mughal structure in white marble and the first to use pietra dura inlay. Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, New Delhi. We include pick-up from your hotel and transfer to Nizamuddin — you do not need to arrange your own transport to the station. Your driver will collect you at 7:00 AM.
