Wahid Halabi from Bahrain sharing his review of a same-day Agra tour by Gatimaan Express train

One Last Day in India: A Gatimaan Express Day Tour Story

Wahid Halabi, Bahrain — Same Day Agra Tour by Gatimaan Express (1:54, captions available)

Wahid had spent eight days in India on business. Delhi was his last stop, and before flying home to Bahrain there was one thing he still wanted to do: see Agra.

“After eight days I decided that I would like to go and visit Agra,” he says, “and I started looking online for the best way to do it.”

That search brought him to Perfect Agra Tours. He started on our website’s live chat, moved to WhatsApp, and found what a short-on-time traveller needs most: quick answers. “The response was super quick, everything was explained clearly.” He booked our same day Agra tour by Gatimaan Express train.

The details he noticed

Asked what stood out, Wahid didn’t start with the monuments. He started with the people.

“What I really appreciated also was the attention to details. The driver in Delhi was there on time, took care of everything, and then even made sure that I am on my seat on the train before leaving the station.”

The Gatimaan Express leaves Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin station at 8:10 in the morning and reaches Agra Cantt about 100 minutes later. In Agra, the welcome continued. “The same level of care continued in Agra, with also a welcoming garland on arrival — flowers, fresh flowers.”

A guide who didn’t rush him

The day covers the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and the Baby Taj, with lunch in between, and it has a train to catch at the end. The risk with any day trip is that it becomes a checklist. Wahid says it didn’t.

“The cars were comfortable, the drivers were very good, the guide was knowledgeable and easy to be with, and easy to communicate with. He gave you all the information needed, and we managed to see everything without feeling rushed, and I could really enjoy the day.”

Why it worked for a solo traveller

By the time he was back in Delhi that evening, Wahid had put his finger on what made the day work:

“Everything was taken care of — the train, the transfer, the car, the guide, the timing. You really get the feeling that they don’t leave any tiny detail without giving it the necessary attention.”

And why that mattered to him in particular: “For a day trip, especially when you’re travelling on your own after a long week of travelling across India, that made a big difference, really.”

He closed with a thank-you to Ashish and the team, “for their service and for their attention,” and a promise: “for sure I will recommend them again in the future.”

Thank you, Wahid. It was a pleasure to look after your last day in India.

Planning the same day?

The Same Day Agra Tour by Gatimaan Express train runs from Delhi every day except Friday, when the Taj Mahal is closed and the Gatimaan Express does not run. It includes hotel pick-up and drop-off, return Gatimaan Express tickets, a private car and licensed guide in Agra, entry to all three monuments, and lunch. Solo travellers pay from $160; the per-person price falls as the group grows.

I was in India on a business trip and Delhi was my last stop. After eight days I decided that I would like to go and visit Agra, and I started looking online for the best way to do it. And that’s how I came across Perfect Agra Tours. So I contacted them through the live chat and then later on went to WhatsApp, and the response was super quick, everything was explained clearly, so I decided to go ahead with the package called the Gatimaan Express Day Tour. From the moment that they started in Delhi until I came back in the evening, everything was really well organized. What I really appreciated also was the attention to details. The driver in Delhi was there on time, took care of everything, and then even made sure that I am on my seat on the train before leaving the station. And the same level of care continued in Agra, with also a welcoming garland on arrival — flowers, fresh flowers. The cars were comfortable, the drivers were very good, the guide was knowledgeable and easy to be with, and easy to communicate with. He gave you all the information needed, and we managed to see everything without feeling rushed, and I could really enjoy the day. Everything was taken care of — the train, the transfer, the car, the guide, the timing. You really get the feeling that they don’t leave any tiny detail without giving it the necessary attention. For a day trip, especially when you’re travelling on your own after a long week of travelling across India, that made a big difference, really. And finally, I wanted to thank Ashish and his team for their service and for their attention, and for sure I will recommend them again in the future.
