Traveller Reviews
“The Munnar tea estates were extraordinary — we spent hours just walking through them. Eravikulam was a highlight; our guide knew the Nilgiri Tahr and the ecology deeply. The houseboat overnight on Day 3 was unlike anything we’d experienced anywhere in the world. Kerala Euphoria is exactly the right name.”
“Perfect pacing for 4 days. The drive to Munnar through the waterfalls set the tone — everything was unhurried and properly arranged. The houseboat crew were wonderful. The cooking on board was the best food of the trip.”

September to March is ideal — the post-monsoon season when Kerala is intensely green and the weather is cool and pleasant. October to February is peak season. April to June is warm but manageable. July and August are monsoon months — dramatic and beautiful, but some attractions are weather-affected.
A traditional kettuvallam — a flat-bottomed boat originally used to transport rice, converted into a floating home with bedrooms, a kitchen, and a deck. Constructed from wooden planks stitched with coir (coconut fibre rope), sealed with cashew-nut oil. No nails. The crew prepare Kerala cuisine from local ingredients. Cruising the Alleppey backwaters on one is considered among the finest travel experiences in India.
The park closes annually for a period during the calving season of the Nilgiri Tahr (usually January to March). We advise on exact dates when you enquire. The park is best visited October to December and April to June.
