Delhi Sightseeing → Drive to Agra
Red Fort · Humayun’s Tomb · India Gate · Qutub Minar · ~3 hr drive to Agra
Red Fort Delhi — Day 1 Golden Triangle Tour
Pickup from Delhi Airport / Hotel / Station
Your private AC car and guide meet you wherever you are in Delhi or the NCR.
Humayun’s Tomb
The architectural forerunner to the Taj Mahal — built 1570, UNESCO World Heritage Site. The first great garden-tomb of the Mughal era, in red sandstone and white marble.
India Gate & Rashtrapathi Bhavan
Drive along Kartavya Path — New Delhi’s great imperial avenue — past the war memorial and the President’s residence.
Red Fort (Lal Qila)
The Mughal imperial palace — 94 acres of red sandstone walls, audience halls, and ornate palaces on the banks of the Yamuna. UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Qutub Minar
The world’s tallest brick minaret at 73 metres — India’s oldest surviving example of Indo-Islamic architecture, with the mysterious rust-free Iron Pillar from 375 AD.

Agra Sunrise → Drive to Jaipur
Taj Mahal at sunrise · Agra Fort · Baby Taj · ~4 hr drive to Jaipur
Taj Mahal at sunrise — Day 2 Golden Triangle Tour
Taj Mahal at Sunrise
The world’s greatest monument to love — best experienced in the soft golden light of early morning before the crowds arrive. Your guide narrates the full story of Shah Jahan, Mumtaz Mahal, and the 20 years of construction.
Agra Fort
Emperor Akbar’s great red sandstone citadel — 94 acres, built 1565. Walk the Diwan-i-Am, the Khas Mahal, and the Musamman Burj tower where Shah Jahan spent his final years gazing at the Taj.
Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah (Baby Taj)
Often overlooked, entirely unmissable — the first Mughal monument built entirely in white marble, with exquisite pietra dura inlay work. Quieter than the Taj, and worth every minute.
Drive to Jaipur (~4 hours)
Afternoon transfer through the golden landscapes of Rajasthan. Check into your hotel on arrival. Optional: Amber Fort Light and Sound Show in the evening.

Hawa Mahal Jaipur — Day 3 Golden Triangle Tour
Amber Fort (Amer Fort)
Maharaja Man Singh’s 16th-century hilltop fortress — a complex of palaces, halls and gardens in a dramatic hillside setting above Jaipur. The Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) is extraordinary. Walk or jeep up to the main gate.
Hawa Mahal — Palace of the Winds
Jaipur’s most iconic façade — 953 latticed windows in rose-pink sandstone, built so court ladies could watch the street below without being seen. One of India’s most-photographed buildings.
City Palace
The Maharaja of Jaipur’s palace complex — still partially occupied by the royal family — with two enormous silver urns (the world’s largest silver objects) and a superb textile and arms museum.
Jantar Mantar
Maharaja Jai Singh II’s astronomical observatory from 1728 — 19 massive architectural instruments, still functional, including the world’s largest stone sundial.
Drive back to Delhi (~5 hours)
Return transfer to Delhi — drop at airport, hotel, or station as required. Tour ends.

★★★★★

“Three days felt exactly right for this circuit. The sunrise at the Taj Mahal on Day 2 was everything — nothing prepares you for the scale and beauty of it in person. Our guide in Agra was exceptional. Amber Fort in Jaipur was a genuine surprise, far more impressive than I expected.”

“Perfect Agra Tours handled everything flawlessly. The car was comfortable, the guides in each city were knowledgeable without being overwhelming, and the Baby Taj in Agra was a genuine discovery. A wonderful introduction to India.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — 3 days covers the essential highlights of all three cities at a comfortable pace. You get Delhi’s monuments on Day 1, a full Agra experience including Taj at sunrise and Agra Fort on Day 2, and the core of Jaipur including Amber Fort and Hawa Mahal on Day 3. Travellers who want deeper time in each city — or who want to add Fatehpur Sikri — should consider the 4-day or 5-day packages.

Hotels are not included in the base price but can be arranged. We work with vetted 3-star, 4-star and 5-star properties in both Agra and Jaipur. Share your preference when enquiring and we’ll include hotel options in your quote. Agra 5-star options include properties with direct Taj Mahal views from the room.

Entry fees are not included in the base tour price and are paid on-site. Your guide will tell you exactly what each monument costs before you enter — there are no surprises. Entry fee costs for foreign nationals are available from us on request.

October to March — cool, dry and clear across all three cities. November to February is the prime season. April to June is hot (Delhi can reach 45°C) but manageable in an AC car. July to September (monsoon) brings rain but also lush greenery and thinner crowds at the monuments.

Absolutely — we build all Golden Triangle tours to your preferences. Common additions include Fatehpur Sikri en route to Agra, Mehtab Bagh (the sunset garden opposite the Taj), Nahargarh Fort in Jaipur, or extra time at any site. Just mention it when you enquire.

The Taj Mahal is closed every Friday. We always confirm your travel dates avoid a Friday before building the itinerary — this is handled automatically when you book with us.
