Itinerary of Golden Triangle Tour 5 Nights 6 days
Day 1: Delhi Sightseeing
This 6 Day 5 night Golden Triangle tour commences from New Delhi. The tour driver will come to pick you from either the airport or the railway or any other spot of your choice. From here you will be taken to a good hotel that offers easy accessibility to key tourist places. Start the sightseeing with a visit to places like Humayun’s Tomb, Lodhi Gardens, Qutab Minar, and Red Fort. Then you can enjoy a nice lunch of your favorite cuisine wherever you wish. Later in the evening drive past India Gate. Enjoy Light and Sound show at Red Fort which will take you a trip down the memory lane. Overnight stay is in a hotel in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi to Agra (204 kms)
The next morning the tour driver will transfer you to the city of Taj in a prepaid taxi. Agra is a wonderful city which is flanked by tourists from far and wide. It usually takes around 3 hours to reach Agra via the Yamuna Expressway. Taj Mahal is a beautiful white marble mausoleum built by Shahjahan in the 17th century. You will be handed the entry ticket by the tour representative. You can even have a Govt Approved tour guide to take you around the monument. Overnight stay is in a good hotel in Agra.
Day 3: More of Agra sightseeing
Today you will do more of Agra sightseeing. Once you are done with your breakfast, visit the Agra Fort. This lovely red sandstone monument is also known as the Red Fort of Agra. It was the residence of Mughals till their capital got transferred to Delhi. It demonstrates the finest display of Islamic and Rajput architecture. Another must- see site in Agra is Tomb of Itimad-ud Daulah. This is also referred to as Baby Taj. In the evening you must visit Mehtab Bagh. The sunset view of Taj Mahal from here is superb. Day 4: Agra to Jaipur (240 kms)
In the morning, you will be taken to Jaipur in a prepaid taxi. It just takes roughly 4 hours to reach Jaipur. Enroute halt for a brief while at Fatehpur Sikri. Visit the famous Buland Darwaza which was constructed by Emperor Akbar to commemorate his victory over Gujarat. Another site that people visit in Fatehpur Sikri is the Tomb of Salim Chisti. He was a very popular Sufi saint. Once you reach Jaipur check into a good hotel. After resting for a while you can visit City Palace. Overnight stay is in a hotel in Jaipur.
Day 5: Sightseeing in Jaipur
In the morning, again you will leave for a sightseeing tour of the “Pink city”. Visit the beautiful Fort. From this huge fort you will be able to see the entire Jaipur city. Then you can visit Hawa Mahal popularly referred to as “Palace of winds”. Visit Jantar Mantar, Jaigarh Fort, Birla Mandir, etc, Jaipur offers amazing shopping. Visit the local bazaars for shopping for gemstones, clothing, etc. Overnight stay is in a hotel in Jaipur.
Day 6: Jaipur to New Delhi (320 Kms)
In the morning the tour driver will take you back to Delhi. It takes roughly 5 hrs to reach Delhi. Once you are in Delhi you must visit the beautiful Swami Narayan Akshardham Temple. This spiritual- cultural campus is just amazing. It displays Indian culture and religion. Later, you will leave for the airport to catch a flight for your onward destination.
