Day 1: Cochin Arrival & Local Exploration (Overnight in Cochin)

On your arrival at Cochin International Airport (COK), our representative from Perfect Agra Tours will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, relax and refresh. In the afternoon, go for a sightseeing tour of Cochin, often referred to as the “Queen of the Arabian Sea” due to its historical importance as a port in the Arabian Sea. Explore Fort Kochi, which is famous for its charming streets, colonial buildings, and many historical monuments. Witness the cantilevered fishing nets in action, a legacy of Chinese traders. Some other places are St. Francis Church, the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue.

In the morning, after breakfast, check out of your hotel and begin your picturesque drive to Munnar, a 4-5 hour journey by road. En route, marvel at the beautiful landscapes and waterfalls, such as Cheeyappara, a magnificent 7-tier waterfall, and Valara Waterfall, which is surrounded by a trekking route covered in lush greenery. Stopping to explore a Spice plantation is something which could only be seen in Southern India. Upon arrival in Munnar, check into your resort and enjoy the cool mountain breeze. The evening is free for leisure, or if you want can go for a stroll through the tea gardens.

Today is dedicated to exploring the enchanting beauty of Munnar. After breakfast, proceed for a full day of sightseeing. So many places are there to visit in Munnar as it is home to Virgin Forests, huge Waterfalls, a Tea Museum, a National park, enchanting plantation on rolling hills. Visit Eravikulam National Park, which is home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, a Himalayan Goat. Enjoy boating in Muttupetty Dam and Kundala Lake, which are both surrounded by hills and picturesque views. Visit the famous Echo Point for its natural echo phenomenon. Stroll through the Tea Museum to learn about the history and processing of Tea. At the Rose Garden, capture scenic pictures and feel the flowery breeze.

After breakfast, check out from your Munnar hotel and drive to Thekkady, which is a journey of about 3-4 hours, known for its Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, which is titled as the best reserved sanctuary as per management. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the afternoon, experience the wilderness by enjoying a boat safari on Lake Periyar, where you can spot wild animals like Elephants, Deer, Gaur, and various birds. Indulge in an Elephant Safari, explore a spice plantation of many spices like Cardamom, Cloves, and even some herb plantations used for ayurvedic treatment. You can also witness a Kalaripayattu (traditional martial arts) performance.

The next day after breakfast, check out from your hotel in Thekkady and proceed to Kovalam (approximately 5-6 hours), a renowned beach destination. Upon arrival, check into your beach resort. After breakfast, check out from your Kovalam hotel and drive to Alleppey for approximately 3-4 hours.
