Itinerary of Maharaja Express Train Tour
Day 1- Arrival in Delhi
Maharaja Express Train Tour commences in Delhi. You will be given a warm welcome at Delhi railway station. Enjoy your coffee at the station. The train leaves for Agra city at 10PM. A lavish dinner will be served on board.
Day 2- Agra sightseeing
Today you will enjoy sunrise of Taj Mahal. This brilliant monument looks glorious when the golden rays of sun fall on it. Taj Mahal is UNESCO World Heritage site. It is flanked by tourists from far and wide. 5th Mughal emperor Shah Jahan built it in memory of his beloved wife. After viewing Taj Mahal you can enjoy a lovely breakfast at any of the luxury hotels in the city. Next proceed to see Agra Fort and Tomb of Itimad –ud Daulah. Agra Fort is spread over a huge area and houses a museum containing ancient artifacts. In the evening you will return back to the train. Alternatively, you can watch ‘ Mohabbat the Taj’ show. Dinner will be served on board. Now, the train leaves for Sawai Madhopur.
Day 3- Visit Ranthambore National Park and Jaipur
In the morning you will leave for safari tour of Ranthambore National Park. It is one of the finest parks in India for spotting royal Bengal tiger. After you are done with safari you will return back to the train and leave for Jaipur city. Lunch will be provided on board. Once you reach Jaipur you will visit Amer Fort, Jantar Mantar- the royal observatory, Jal Mahal, City Palace, etc. All these tourist sites have a distinctive charm and appeal. You will also be taken for an exclusive tour to elephant village where you can feed the animals. Return to the train at night where you will be served dinner.
Day 4- Bikaner Sightseeing
Today you will visit the desert kingdom of Bikaner. You will visit Lalgarh Palace and Junagarh Fort. For lunch you will visit the dunes. In the evening you can enjoy lovely Kalebeliyas and Langaas. Barbeque dinner will be served. Overnight on board.
Day 5- Jodhpur sightseeing
Today you will enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Blue City. You will begin with visit to Mehrangarh Fort. This huge fort is known for its thick walls. It has delicate carvings and huge courtyards. Other key places which you will visit in Jodhpur are Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhawan Palace. In the evening a wonderful royal cocktail will be arranged for you. Enjoy a wonderful cultural performance at Hanwant Mahal. This show ends with lovely fireworks. After dinner you will return to the train.
Day 6- Udaipur sightseeing
Today you will arrive at city of lakes. Pichola Lake in Udaipur offers a lovely boat ride to tourists. Visit other amazing tourist spots in Udaipur such as Saheliyon- ki Bari, Jagmandir and City Palace. Udaipur has come up as a popular venue for lavish Indian weddings. After lunch you can even shop at local bazaars. Dinner will be served on board.
Day 7- Visit Balasinor
Today you will reach Balasinor in Gujarat. This has a wonderful geological period park. Once you are done with Fossil Park you will visit the native village. Here you will see some extremely old monuments depicting ancient culture. Visit Sudarshan Lake- this is a popular picnic spot. Dinner will be served on board.
Day 8- Reach Mumbai
Today is the last day of your Maharaja Express Train Tour. You will reach Mumbai where you will visit Gateway of India. Maharaja Express Train is one of the most luxurious trains in India.
